The Journal of the Canadian Water Resources Association
The Canadian Water Resources Journal was first published in the fall of 1976 and
it has grown in stature to be recognized as a quality and important publication
in the water resources field. Manuscripts are classified as research, an application
or an invited paper on a topic of special interest. Before being accepted for publication,
all papers are reviewed by at least two qualified referees. Manuscripts are accepted
in English or French
The Canadian Water Resources Journal accepts manuscripts in English or French
and publishes abstracts in both official languages. Preference is given to
manuscripts focusing on information and policy aspects of Canadian water
management. Specifically, manuscripts should stimulate public awareness and
understanding of Canada's water resources, encourage recognition of the high
priority of water as a resource, and provide new or increased knowledge on some
aspect of Canada's water. Articles focused on experiences outside Canada are
welcomed, especially when implications for Canada are discussed.
Beginning with Issue 29(1) - March 2004, the Canadian Water Resources Journal is
published by the NRC Research
Press and is available online. Log in to the Members Area or sign up for the NRC’s
Publication Alert.
