Carries out multi-disciplinary basic and applied research focusing on rivers ecosystems.

Canadian Water Network
The Network seeks to ensure Canada's pre-eminent role in the management and sustainable use of water resources; to preserve access to clean water; to protect the health of Canada's people and ecosystems; and, to support the Canadian economy. The network focuses on seven research areas: Policy and Governance; Water Resource Management; Water and Public Health; Safe Drinking Water; Wastewater Management; Infrastructure; and Groundwater and Sediment Protection.
