Water Supply Manager

Position Outline

The Manager position is a high profile position within the organization requiring a professional with a scientific background and the ability to navigate and build relationships in a complex and matrixed environment.   Reporting to the Senior Manager located out of country, and indirectly to the executive management team in Canada, the Manager will hold the responsibility of managing the existing resources in Eastern Canada and exploring and developing new resources for the company across Canada.   The incumbent will possess solid leadership and technical skills complimented with a professional approach that is collaborative, organized, innovative and customer focused.

Must Haves

  • Formal education (BSci) in hydrology, water supply engineering and/or geology is required with a minimum of 7 years progressive experience in the industry.
  • Individual will have the demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of an organization and externally with government officials, environmental groups and the like in an effective manner keeping the needs of the business in mind while supporting concerns of others.  A diplomat that can represent the business at various levels.
  • Written and verbal communications skills are essential and will be called upon often.  Individual must be comfortable presenting in public and have the ability to present scientific information to a non-scientific audience in a manner that is understandable to them.
  • Financial/analytical skill required performing value assessments/justification on projects.
  • Project management for multiple million dollar capital installations.
