CWR Journal
Editorial Policy
The Canadian Water Resources Association recognizes the need to provide a Canadian-oriented publication in which authors can present their views on a broad range of water resource-related topics. The Canadian Water Resources Journal (CWRJ) provides this opportunity in a format that meets the requirements of the scientific community, water resource planners, managers and administrators, and the public at large.
The Canadian Water Resources Journal accepts manuscripts in English or French and publishes abstracts in both official languages. In general, preference is given to manuscripts focusing on information and policy aspects of Canadian water management. Specifically, manuscripts should stimulate public awareness and understanding of Canada's water resources, encourage recognition of the high priority of water as a resource, and provide new or increased knowledge on some aspect of Canada's water. Articles focused on experiences outside Canada are welcomed, especially when implications for Canada are discussed.
The Journal also publishes book reviews and readers' comments. Occasionally, invited articles or complete Journal issues dealing with topical items are published.
Manuscripts submitted for publication must be accompanied by a statement that they have not been published in a refereed journal or proceedings, or submitted for possible publication elsewhere.
All manuscripts considered for publication are reviewed by at least two qualified referees. Authors submitting manuscripts are advised to read "Instructions for Preparation of Manuscripts" printed on the final pages of each issue of the Journal. Authors should also be aware that there is a $40 per page charge for articles published.
