CWRA Branches and Affiliates

Canadian Water Resources Association is a national association that is collectively organized into branches and affiliates representing different areas of water interest and geographic locations throughout Canada.

The Branches:

Flags of Canada The individual Branches provide a unique local perspective on the success and challenges of water management across our diverse country. The Branch volunteers provide other CWRA members with local knowledge of water-related activities through website updates, newsletters, workshops and conferences. To find out more about what is going on within CWRA Branches, select a province or territory.

The Affiliates:

Canadian Committee on Irrigation and Drainage

The Canadian Committee on Irrigation and Drainage (CANCID) of the CWRA is the link between agriculture and water across Canada and with the International Committee on Irrigation and Drainage (ICID).

Canadian Society for Hydrologic Sciences

The Canadian Society for Hydrologic Sciences (CSHS) is a society of the CWRA and represents the members who are interested in the hydrologic issues of Canadian water.

Student and Young Professionals

The Student and Young Professionals (SYP) Chapters are made up of a diverse and active group of members and have chapters located in most major cities across the country. The chapters are made up of students and young professionals from a wide range of academic disciplines, from Engineering and Hydrology to Geography, Biology and Political Science, and welcome any and all students interested in water issues.

Project WET

Project WET or “Water Education for Teachers” delivers hands on workshops that connect children, parents, educators and communities with water education that promotes the appreciation and stewardship of water resources.
