Montreal Chapter
Description
Montreal SYP chapter is located on the MacDonald Campus of McGill University. It
is made of 5 core members and has about 85 members at large that are regularly updated
with activities and events organized.
Since its creation in September 2004, the Montreal chapter has been really active
and has organized several events dealing with various water issues, including student-professional
networking meetings, seminars, river clean-ups, student outreach and education activities
and some fundraising activities.
The chapter is now focusing on working with the Quebec Branch on the organization
of the 2009 National CWRA conference to be held in Quebec City.

Event Location:
Invitation of Mr. Aly Shady to speak about global water issues and more precisely to review current and future global food problems. The presentation was given on the Macdonald Campus of McGill in Ste Anne de Bellevue. SYP volunteers were present to answer questions and provide information on the CWRA and the Montreal SYP chapter. SYP chapter information and sign-up sheet were made available. The speaker, along with the SYP organizers, some students and professionals, was then invited to a lunch at the Tadja Hall (faculty members' restaurant).
