New Brunswick Branch
The CWRA - New Brunswick Branch was started informally in the mid-seventies and
subsequently became a Branch. The Branch has members and directors from many parts
of New Brunswick including the North West, North East, and the Fredericton area.
Although the New Brunswick Branch is relatively small, many of the Branch members
are active professionally or maintain an active interest in water resource management
issues and policy. The New Brunswick Branch meets several times a year, mostly in
Fredericton. Guest speakers on various water resource management issues are invited
to the Branch meetings. The Branch occasionally holds small forums on various water
issues. The Branch also encourages university students to participate in the Branch
activities. Branch members are also active in CANCID (Canadian Committee on Irrigation
and Drainage) and other professional organizations with an interest in water resources.
