The Vancouver Chapter began organizing in September of 2005. We started with just a few members and are now up to 11 members, including young professionals and students from UBC and SFU. We hold meetings about once a month and have our first event planned for January 25th, 2006. It will be a networking event introducing students to the CWRA and outlining career opportunities in water resources. Further events in 2006 will be determined following the networking event.

Ripple Effects Networking Event
Event Date: January 26, 2006
Description: The aim of this event was to educate students and young professionals about the CWRA and encourage them to join the Vancouver student chapter. Presentations were given by the BC Branch President, BC Branch Past President and members of the SYP chapter. Afterwards, there was an opportunity to network and learn more, with pizza and beer and wine served.
