Hydrological Science Research in Canada
Beginning in December 1998, the Canadian Society of Hydrological Sciences (CSHS) and the Canadian Water Resources Association (CWRA) undertook a critical review of Hydrological Science Research in Canada and prepared a reports in 3 parts. Part 1, published in 1998, is an inventory of ongoing research activities in Canada. Part 2, published in September 1999, presents the practitioners’ views of the needs in hydrological research. Part 3, published in 2000, includes a comparison of the current and emerging needs of the practicing hydrology community given current research. Gaps, impediments to filling these gaps, and recommendations for improvement are identified.
