The Canadian National Committee for Irrigation and Drainage, (CANCID) is a permanent committee of the Canadian Water Resources Association (CWRA) and is the National Committee for Canada of the International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage ("ICID"). CANCID activities aim to stimulate and promote research, development and application of technology among those individuals and organisations in Canada who are interested in irrigation, drainage, and flood control in rural areas on behalf of the Corporation and to act as an intermediary body for the Corporation between Canada and the International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage.
Le Comité national canadien de l'irrigation et du drainage (CNCID) consiste en un comité permanent de l’Association canadienne des ressources hydriques (ACRH) et il est aussi le comité national pour le Canada de la Commission internationale des irrigations et du drainage (CIID). Les activités du CNCID visent d’une part à stimuler et à promouvoir la recherche, le développement et l’application de la technologie entre les particuliers et les organisations du Canada qui s’intéressent à l’irrigation, au drainage et à la lutte contre les crues dans les régions rurales au nom de la Société et, d’autre part, à agir en tant qu’agence intermédiaire pour la Société entre le Canada et la Commission internationale des irrigations et du drainage. |
